The Magoon Creek Natural Area encompasses 97 acres just south of Manistee.  The park, dedicated in 1983, features over 1/2 mile of Lake Michigan shoreline along 80-foot-high bluffs.  Park facilities include a picnic area complete with grills and a pavilion, a hand pump for potable water, and rustic restrooms.

Magoon Creek Natural Area is open to the public year-round from dawn until dusk.  The road into the park is unplowed and inaccessible during the winter months, however there is parking available throughout the year at the park entrance, which has direct access to the hiking trails.  There are no permits or usage fees required to hike at Magoon Creek Natural Area.
