Snow-covered foundations, Magoon Creek Natural Area

In need of some cabin fever relief, Adam and I took advantage of the 30 degree F “warm” day and went on a little adventure at Magoon Creek Natural Area. I took a lot of interesting pictures of ice formations alone the Lake Michigan shoreline. It was chilly, but totally worth it!

  1. [...] After the silicone cured completely, I tested the repair.  Over the course of several days I trudged several miles around my neighborhood in them in conditions ranging from slush to  single digit temperatures.  I even wore them on a punishing winter hike at Magoon Creek Natural Area. Reminds me of a winter of ’02 picnic at Magoon. Great time in spite of the cold wind coming off the lake. Forgot a corkscrew, tried to carve out the cork with my knife, but the blade was too wide to dig it all out. Solution was to smash the top of bottle, and use paper towel as filter. Thanks for the photos, and the reminder of a funny story. Peace.
